I met Alana when I was in Hospital in Ward 11 Shenton Park Spinal Unit with yet another broken leg (I think) around 1982. She was a Registered Nurse and we hit it off during my stay and eventually got married in Northam in 1987.

We covered a hell of a lot of ground together from rebuilding the old house, to playing with the boats, to retiring to Mandurah, to starting Mandurah Watersports Hire, to starting Mandurah and Rockingham Sounds.

While it is a safe bet to say that she wasn't happy with my drinking during the Mandurah Sounds period and then the attempted suicide in 2001, we had an amicable divorce in July 2007. We are still in touch and enjoy a nice meal out on a regular basis.
