Pistol and Rifle Shooting.

Another relaxing Hobby was Pistol Shooting which I took up while I was in Northam.

You had to belong to a Pistol club to be able to own hand guns so I joined the Northam Pistol Club.

As with everything I do I had a bit of a collection but can't remember the names/types of pistols but I had a target pistol with the wrap around grip (the one April is using in the photo) a Saturday night special with nice grips, a pistol for rapid fire, an air pistol and a couple of others.

I also had a couple of rifles which I used to take out the back of Bourke and shoot cans with.

Never could shoot anything that was alive but.

When I stopped going to the pistol club I had to either hand in my pistols or sell them so I opted for the latter and it was around this time that they passed a law on rifles. You had to hand in your rifles if you didn't belong to a rifle club or have a good reason to use them so I sold them as well.
