This was a fun period and probably one of the most relaxing hobbies I have had. I enjoyed both the building and the flying of the Model planes and played with them for a couple of years off and on.

Above: Starting off small here. One servo to steer the glider left or right once it was up in the air.

Above Right: Joanne ready to chuck the little thing.

Right: One of the guys had a big powered model and would take all the Gliders up on it's back.

That done lets go bigger.

Lots of Balsa and Glue.

Servos for up, down, left, right and go.

Time for a last bit of courage before lift off.

You could put anywhere up to 80 hours into building one of these and all it might take all of 2 minutes to wreck it.

The fun bit was putting it back together again in the hope you might get to learn to fly the bloody thing.

                 Success!!

Alana bringing back an unscathed model.

I am not sure what I did with all my radio gear and models but I probably gave everything away when I stopped flying and went onto the next thing. Boats

Update 2010 I bought a model helicopter.

This little one became my favourite and was very quick.

Lots of tears with the Glider but also a lot of fun. It was big enough to see as well.
